![]() 2x12s w/8 ohms speakers can be easily modified to be 4 or 16 ohms. If used, the cabinets may have been rewired to get a specific impedance eg. how confident are you that the overall cabinet impedances are correct. ![]() Plus, it’s perfect for controlled feedback. I really dig the 6 speaker config, it looks cool, and the highest speakers are chest level and not blowing my head off. Or do they make a speaker cable attenuater to control volume? The 4x12 also has a “ thru” jack beside the input jack, if that opens up another option. How can I balance this out? The head also has a line out, and I do have another head with a loop I could use. Obvously because cab has more resistance than the 2x12, by having more speakers. The problem is, when I do this the 4x12 is about half the volume of the 2x12. I understand it works out to 5.3 ohms over six speakers, and setting to 4 ohm is close enough. There are two speaker outs and Ohms are switchable ( 4,8,16). I have a 50 watt head (EVH), and the matching 2x12 ( 16 ohms), and a 4x12, which is a Randall ( 8 ohms). I asked this a few years ago and didn’t really get much feedback, but I’ll try again.
